Let me tell you a secret. After years and years of wearing high heels, specifically my favorite pair of Louboutins (being in the corporate world and all), I can barely move the last 2 toes on my right foot. I blame myself for listening to Manolo Blahnik - the greatest shoemaker in England - who said that wearing high heels transforms a woman (into something better and greater). This is why I am now very careful when it comes to Kara's footwear. I even saw a podiatrist and ask
When I was still pregnant with Kara, my OB advised me to be careful not just with what I eat and do, but also with the make-up and skin care products I'm using. Dra. Limson advised that it doesn’t have to be completely organic, but there are some ingredients pregnant women have to steer clear of because these can lead to potential birth defects during the early stages (see complete list here). Dra. Limson also mentioned to avoid the same list of chemicals while breastfeeding
This is all about our adventures around the world and how we find joy in parenting by sharing our experience in applying Montessori and Positive Discipline.
